Datoz and Invest Monterrey sign a collaboration agreement

October 11, 2023 | #DatozByDatoz

Datoz, the leading platform in real estate intelligence in Mexico, and Invest Monterrey, the investment promotion agency of the state of Nuevo León, signed a collaboration agreement to generate and disseminate information about the industrial real estate market in Mexico.

The last three years have been extremely dynamic in terms of investments in Nuevo León. Just between October 2021 and August 2023, 164 projects were generated, including 87 new investments and 77 expansions, resulting in a foreign direct investment of $25.385 billion dollars, according to figures from Nuevo León government.

As a result, the industrial real estate market in Monterrey has surpassed historical levels of gross absorption (transactions for lease and sale) and construction starts, which has triggered inventory growth. Between 2021 and August 2023, the inventory increased by 17%, surpassing 15.1 million square meters (162.7 million square feet). Additionally, it is on the verge of becoming the largest industrial market in the country, according to data from Datoz.

This poses a significant challenge for Invest Monterrey, investment companies, the industrial real estate market, and various levels of government. Therefore, having access to up-to-date, accurate, and transparent information is of paramount importance. In response to this, Datoz and Invest Monterrey will join forces to generate and disseminate the necessary information that will assist in attracting investments.

Sergio Mireles, co-founder and CEO of Datoz, emphasized that with this agreement and partnership, their aim is to provide essential information to companies interested in investing in Nuevo León. The goal is to support them with transparent and concise data.

“We intend for Invest Monterrey to use the information so that both foreign and domestic companies can make more informed decisions regarding the dynamics of the industrial real estate market in Monterrey and the northeastern region,” stated Sergio Mireles.
